The Super 7 Learning Powers.
Whilst learning about the benefits and positives of Visible Learning, TPS pupils and staff created the Super Seven Learning Powers in 2019. Words were taken from our Vison, Values and Aims poster from the aims section. The Pupils drew the characters and named them, the Super Seven were born!
The 12 Metaskills from Skills Development Scotland link with the TPS Learning Powers. For example the Metaskill Communicating and Learning Power Team Playing Tiger.
Posters are displayed around the school and are referred to often to sustain a whole school language for learning.
Each week we have a Meta-Skill/ Learning Power theme in the school and focus the Teacher Awards on them. It really is a whole school language of learning, one more way to make learning more visible and the pupils understand more clearly what they need to do to be better learners.
